An Advisor Who Has Done the Work
McSpiritt Advisory is built on the conviction that senior leaders deserve counsel that is direct, experienced, and clear about the clinical, technical, and commercial realities behind the decision.
Chris McSpiritt brings more than 20 years of firsthand consulting and strategy experience at the intersection of life sciences, clinical operations, clinical data, and technology transformation. His work has spanned eTMF, CTMS, Study Startup, EDC, clinical data management, clinical portals, AI/ML platforms, governance, validation-aware delivery, and R&D operating model design.
His career has moved from consulting and practice leadership at CGI/Paragon, to clinical SaaS strategy at Veeva, to AI/ML and R&D technology strategy at Domino. That arc gives him a practical view of how sponsors, technology vendors, and internal transformation teams each make decisions—and where those decisions tend to break down.
Before founding McSpiritt Advisory, Chris held senior consulting, strategy, and leadership roles where he advised pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences technology organizations on clinical system implementation, process optimization, platform strategy, AI adoption, and executive stakeholder alignment.
What distinguishes this advisory practice is not a proprietary methodology or a large bench of consultants. It is the direct, consistent engagement of a senior advisor who has navigated these problems before—and who brings that experience to bear on your specific situation.
Senior-Level Expertise. No Overhead.
Most advisory relationships fail because the senior perspective you hired disappears once the engagement starts. I work differently.
Deep domain expertise
I've spent 20+ years inside clinical operations, clinical data, eClinical systems, and clinical technology strategy. I've led implementations, owned P&L, shaped product strategy, and sat in the rooms where these decisions get made.
The principal does the work
Your engagement is led and delivered personally by me. The person you hire is the person doing the work — no junior bench, no handoff.
Independence is explicit
I do not carry a hidden implementation bench or reseller agenda. When vendor-side work creates a potential conflict, it is disclosed and managed before any advisory work begins.
Built for outcomes, not billable hours
Engagements are scoped around clear deliverables and measurable results, so you know what you are getting, when, and why.
“I founded McSpiritt Advisory because I saw a consistent gap. Life sciences organizations and the companies that serve them are investing heavily in clinical technology, data, and AI, but too often the hard questions about operating model, adoption, market fit, governance, and development value are left unresolved.”
What Makes This Different
Three sides of the table
I've implemented these systems as a consultant, built and sold them on the vendor side, and now advise the people buying them. Few advisors have seen the decision from all three seats.
In the room when it ships
My recommendations come from leading real eTMF, CTMS, EDC, and clinical-data programs at top-tier pharma, biotech, and CROs — not from a framework deck.
One client at a time
I take a deliberately small number of engagements, so the senior advisor you hire is the one doing the work, start to finish.
I'll tell you if I'm not the fit
No pitch, no qualification gauntlet. If the problem isn't mine to solve, I'll say so — and do my best to point you somewhere better.
